ENDOMETRIOSIS Solution & Example

Your menstrual periods are very painful. Your lower back hurts for no apparent reason. Bowel movements and sexual intercourse are painful.

  • Keep track of your menstrual cycle. Chart the things that seem to cause you pain and you can begin to recognize what they are and control them.
  • Eat more fish as they contain omega-3 fatty acids which suppress prostaglandin production –one of the hormones that affect the lining of the uterus (endometrial tissue).
  • Try bed rest, moist heat or heating pad and warm drinks to relax the cramping caused by the uterine muscles.
  • Exercise, as this reduces estrogen level and may slow the growth of the endometriosis.
  • Reduce your intake of caffeine as this chemical increases your sensation of pain.
  • Use a lubricant to ease painful intercourse.
  • An acupressure technique that seems to help is to press the inside of your leg, approximately two inches above your ankle bone.
